Year: 2016 – 2017
The Sydney Light Rail Project is $2 billion public private partnership to design, build, maintain and operate a new CBD and South East Light Rail as well as taking over operation and maintenance of the existing Inner West Light Rail.
The CBD and South East Light Rail is a new light rail network for Sydney, currently under construction. The 12km route will feature 19 stops, extending from Circular Quay along George Street to Central Station, through Surry Hills to Moore Park, then to Kensington and Kingsford via Anzac Parade and Randwick via Alison Road and High Street. Construction will be completed and services will start running in 2019.
Turnbull Engineering supported the design of the CBD and South East Light Rail through the performance of select Design Management (Area Lead) and Technical Leadership (Combined Services Route Discipline Lead) roles for the GHD and Jacobs Design Joint Venture.
